DAY 1: EMBARK ON THE JOURNEY

DAY 2: INTO THE WILDERNESS
Departure: Rimbick

Mode of Transport: Four-wheel-drive SUV or double-cab open pick-up truck
Trek Distance: 12.5 km
Trek Route: Rimbick to Sandakphu via Jorayo Pokhari and Beekhay Bhanjayng.
Highlights: Trek through dense forests, relish breakfast amidst nature’s bounty, conquer the challenging ascent to Sandakphu.

DAY 3: SUNRISE SPECTACLE
Commence: Sandakphu
Commencement Time: 5:00 AM
Highlights: Marvel at the awe-inspiring sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga, explore the ancient Sandakphu temple.
Trek Distance: 15.5 km
Trek Route: Sandakphu to Molley via Thakom and Sabargram.
Highlights: Trek along the Indo-Nepal border ridge, revel in panoramic views of the Himalayas, and pause at renowned viewpoints.

DAY 4: IMMERSION IN NATURE

DAY 5: FINAL DAY
Initiate: Rammam
Highlights: Trek through the enchanting Black Forest, visit the historic Samten Monastery, and conclude the journey at Rimbick.
Trek Distance: 16.5 km
Trek Route: Rammam to Rimbick via Black Forest and Samten Monastery.
Highlights: Traverse pine forests, terraced fields, and pay homage to the ancient monastery, followed by a captivating storytelling session.
Wrap-up: Return to the Rimbick base camp for a well-deserved rest after an unforgettable expedition.

Respect Nature: Leave no trace behind. Respect wildlife and plant life. Do not disturb or harm animals or plants.
Stay on Marked Trails: Follow designated paths to avoid getting lost and to protect delicate ecosystems.
Pack Out Trash: Carry out all trash and dispose of it properly. Leave the trekking area cleaner than you found it.
Camp Responsibly: Camp only in designated areas. Follow Leave No Trace principles when setting up camp.
Obey Fire Regulations: Follow fire regulations and restrictions. Use designated fire pits or stoves when permitted.
Respect Wildlife: Do not feed or approach wildlife. Observe from a distance and do not disrupt their natural behavior.
Respect Local Culture: Learn about and respect the customs and traditions of the local communities you encounter.
Travel in Groups: Trek with a group or at least one partner. Notify someone of your trekking plans and expected return time.
Prepare Adequately: Carry essential supplies, including water, food, navigation tools, first aid kit, and appropriate clothing.
Follow Leave No Trace Principles: Minimize your impact on the environment by practicing Leave No Trace principles, including disposing of waste properly and respecting wildlife and vegetation.
We will provide accommodation from DAY ZERO to FINAL DAY. You will stay at comfortable village homestays/Trekkers’ Huts on all days throughout the trek including the base camp at Rimbick.
Meals
All meals from dinner at Rimbick on DAY ZERO to breakfast at Rimbick on the FINAL DAY are included. You will have homemade, veg/non-veg meals with breakfast and snacks on all days of the trek.
Trek permits
All trek permits and other charges are included.
First aid kit
Your trek leader will carry a first aid medical kit with him/her.
Luggage Room Facility
If you want to leave any extra luggage at the base camp, we have a luggage room facility at no additional cost – but we take no responsibility of your belongings
Conveyance cost to and from the base camp
The conveyance/transport cost to and from Rimbick – our base camp – is to be paid by the trekkers.
Cost of evacuation
On any unfortunate event like an accident or for any other reason if you need to be evacuated from the trek we will make all the necessary arrangements but you will have to bear the cost.
Trek permits for foreigners
For non-Indians, there is an additional cost of Rs 1500/- for trek permit.
Porters
If you wish (or have medical reasons/restrictions) to not carry your backpack/rucksack we can arrange porters at an additional cost.
Insurance
As of now we are not providing any kind of insurances, but we are in talks with our insurance partner and things will work out soon.
Any kind of personal services and expenses are also excluded
It is mandatory for you to carry a Medical Fitness Certificate – issued by a registered doctor, and your photo ID (aadhar card, EPIC, driver’s license or passport) for entry at forest check posts on the trek. These documents will also be required for check-in at our base camp.

Shared vehicles for Rimbick are available from Darjeeling More, Siliguri (please contact us for more information/drivers’ contact no.).
Optionally, we will provide arrangements for pickup from and drop at New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station and Bagdogra airport (Siliguri/IXB) – the cost is to be shared between 3 to 6 trekkers and paid directly to the driver. We will also provide arrangements or the necessary information if you want to come from/via Darjeeling.
